Going nowhere

It must be July because the back pages are full of stories about Patrick Vieira wanting a move from Arsenal to Real Madrid.
This is about the fourth summer in a row where Vieira going to Madrid has been a nailed on certainty but amazingly he leads Arsenal out in the first game of the season, I expect the same result in a month’s time.

From a footballing point of view why would Patrick go to Real apart from them being the biggest name club in the world.
Arsenal won the Premiership last year, going undefeated. They’ve got a young team that’s only going to get better.

Real have an ageing squad, Zidane, Figo, Roberto Carlos etc, no defence and were awful at times last season, plus they’ve got to fit Beckham into their team somehow.

When Patrick comes off his holiday high and looks at the situation closely there’s only one choice he’ll make.

Agreed. I think Arsenal will have another good season. I can see Chelsea having a good season too and I hate to admit it but their new coach is going to to wonders for them. I like the things he’s saying.

Totally agree with that. Jose Mourinho seems like a no bullshit coach who’s not impressed by reputations or egos, and if his players are not going to give 110% for Chelsea it’s gonna be adios.

Expect a tough Premiership season all round.
