Arsenal have finally splashed the cash and gone big in the transfer market getting 20 year old Spaniard Jose Reyes from Sevilla.
I don’t no much about this kid, Sevilla haven’t made the champions league lately so he hasn’t had that much exposure outside Spain, but listening to experts on Spanish football he sounds like he could make a real impact, especially in a quick, passing team like Arsenal.
Also it doesn’t look like Bergkamp and Kanu, both out of contract at the end of the season, will get another deal now Reyes is on board.
Arsenal are top of the league, unbeaten in 22 games and have just 16 more to play, it’ll be interesting what effect Reyes has in those games.

Last season Arsenal started with a great run of wins and Arsene Wenger was asked if they could go the whole season undefeated.
All he said was they’d like to, but the press immediately took this as ‘yes we will’.
Naturally when Arsenal eventually lost a game Wenger got slaughtered for being arrogant enough to say his boys would go the through the season without losing.
