Arsenal player Jermaine Pennant won himself a three month jail term today for his second drink driving conviction in twelve months.
As usual ex-players and Gordon Taylor, chairman of the players association, have been out saying he doesn’t deserve a custodial sentence and it would be better for the community if Jermaine got a couple of hundred hours of coaching kids.
The best thing for Pennant would be to use the six weeks he’ll probably serve to get his head straight and sort his attitude and career out.
He’s at one of the biggest clubs in the country, gets paid a lot of money and has never produced in games the way he should.
His agent said at the start of the season that this was his make or break year, looks like its gone the wrong way.
