The England cricket team have a chance to get back to winning ways this week after a disastrous winter tour of Australia and an equally poor showing at the Cricket World Cup in the Caribbean in March. On Thursday, 17 May, England start their summer programme of international games with the first of four five day Test Matches against the West Indies at Lord’s in West London.
Lord’s is the home of cricket and a great place to watch a game, tickets for international games there are always in demand especially the first three days of Test matches. England’s full schedule includes the four Tests with the West Indies, three Tests with India, three One Day Internationals with West Indies and seven with India and two Twenty20 games against West Indies. Eight of these fixtures are being played at either Lord’s or The Oval in London, so if you’d like to experience a top class cricket match there is a good chance of getting into one of these games. If you’re new to cricket try the Twenty20 games, they last about three hours, are all action and the crowd’s get noisy. Here’s the England calendar for games played in London this summer.
