Well done to Brian Lara for hitting a world record 400 not out in the 4th Test against England, just a pity he did it when the series was already lost.
Lara’s got great talent, but it seems over the past few years he can’t deliver when the big games are on the line.
Up against his comtemporaries of the last decade, you’d always pick Tendulkar or Steve Waugh to come through with a game winning knock.
And I know the West Indies are struggling for players but Lara doesn’t do himself any favours by captaining the side as well, he needs to be fully focused on his batting.
It’ll be interesting to see how the West Indies make out this summer when they tour England.

The number that batsmen are putting up these days is getting ridculous. Double tonnes are commonplace now.
Is the batting better of the bowling getting worse.
I remember Lara did 300+ like 10 years ago or so and was called the best batsmen in the world, blah, blah, blah - then he didn’t do much for a few years and the Indies got really crappy…oh well - good on him for 400 - would have been fun to see.
