Flights cancelled at Heathrow

British Airways are cancelling all domestic flights from Heathrow tomorrow because of expected heavy fog. Apparently today 180 flights from Heathrow had to be cancelled and 223 in the UK altogether, which is strange because I was in central London today and the sky was clear as a bell.

The weather in London has definitely turned colder with quite hard frosts the last few mornings, but I haven’t seen any fog yet.
According to the news reports its not just Heathrow that’s been effected by the fog but also airports in Liverpool and Cardiff and ferries crossing the Irish Sea.

British Airways says long haul flights are have long delays because air traffic control had placed restrictions on flights landing and taking off. BA is also urging customers due to travel on domestic flights to or from Heathrow not to travel to the airport on Thursday.
