A game to forget

A reality check for Arsenal last night, we might be top of the Premiership but playing in the Champions League is a different game.
There’s no hiding place for average players and Arsenal continue to get found out by not having recruited top notch defenders.

We’ve got Man. United on Sunday and have a good chance to get a win or draw in that game but in Europe this squad won’t go too far.

And when is Thierry Henry going to stop stroking penalties along the ground for the keeper to fall on. Copy Shearer and hammer the thing into the top corner.

It was a bit of a weak pen, but a decent save too. I didn’t really think it was a valid claim for a pen in the first place, they looked shoulder to shoulder to me. That little 18 year old striker was giving the boys at the back all sorts of problems with his pace, Sol Campbell looked slow and Torre did his best but was always making last ditch tackles. Ashley Cole was average and Pires was at fault for the third goal.

Still, they looked sharp in the opening 10-15 minutes and probably should have scored with the possession they had.

Arsenal need to get their ducks in a row. They need a new stadium and some new players.
