Big game in a small place

England play in Liechtenstein tomorrow evening in a Euro 2004 qualifer. Lets hope this tiny country stuck between Switzerland and Austria with only 33,000 people is ready for the travelling England support.

Officially England have only 900 tickets for the game but three to four thousand fans are expectd to turn up, so the potential for a flareup is there especially as the Liechtenstein police force only numbers about 70.
With luck the boys will show sense and behave themselves.

What is it why englands “fans” (can’t really call hooligans fans) are so “famous” around the world? I have had to handle them one time and it was awful! They speak such a dialected english you can’t understand them and they keep shouting all the time.

Sounds about right Lilli, they’re probably shouting because they can’t understand each other.
