Brazil to play Sweden at the Emirates

fan1.jpgBrazil are returning to London to play Sweden in a friendly football international on Wednesday 26th March 2008 with the game taking place at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium. This will be the third year in a row that the Brazilian national team have played at the Emirates, they beat Argentina 3-0 there in September 2006 and lost 2-0 to Portugal in February 2007.

I went to both matches which were sellouts and had a good atmosphere with plenty of London based Brazilian fans in attendence. It must be a money spinning fixture for the Brazilian FA because they keep coming back, although it seems a strange time to play a friendly international, there are domestic games on weekends each side of it and the only other big international game that night is France v England in Paris.

Tickets for the Brazil-Sweden game aren’t on sale yet but keep an eye on the Arsenal website for more information.fan1.jpg

I think it is outrageous that there is not any discounted child tickets!! Why is that??

This would have been the first time I would have been able to take my children to a football match where there is no swearing, racist chants aggression etc etc. it would have been a wonderful experience for them. it is a real shame. I have spoken to many other parents in my position.

The stadium could have been packed with families. What a fantastic advert for football. Why not sell child tickets at 1/2 price???
