Cheats never prosper

Just watched the Monaco v Chelsea Champions League semi-final 1st leg, Monaco 3-1 Chelsea. This was one of the times in sport when the team that deserved to win did and if I’d been a Monaco player I’d have decked Claude Makelele.

Chelsea are the team of superstars, owned by Russian multi-billionaire Roman Abramovich who turned up in Monaco on one his huge yachts that had a sixty foot sail boat that looked tiny parked on the end of the yacht.
Monaco are a team of reject players that other teams didn’t want, but have jelled together to produce some incredible results in the Champions League, knocking out the so called ‘Galacticos’ of Real Madrid, beating Deportico 8-3 in another game.

Tonight it was 1-1 just after halftime when Makelele got a little touch on the back of the neck from a Monaco player. He looks at where the ref is, takes a couple of stride forward, then crumples in a heap on the floor. After the Monaco player gets sent off Makelele has the cheek to walk fifty yards rubbing his neck.
After yelling cheating bastard at the tv you would have thought the game was Chelsea’s, but Monaco went on to play them of the pitch with a man less.

Absolute justice. Now I hope they win the second leg in two weeks.
