Chef’s special hits the spot

food.jpgTottenham have asked the Premier League to order their final league game of the season to be replayed because they claim some of their squad went down with food poisoning the night before.

It’s a bit late now boys, the result is in the record books and you’ll just have to settle for the UEFA Cup. It was a shame you had a few dodgy tummy’s but stop having all those sour grapes before and after your games and you’ll feel a whole lot happier with life.

Fuck off Tottenham. You fielded a complete team, you played, you lost.

Martin Jol wouldn’t be asking for this had his team won, even if they were sick. The overriding thing is the result, not the sickness issue. Therefore, the game should not be replayed.

I do think there are situations where maybe games should be postsponed. Maybe this was one of them. Then the league needs to clarify its rules. As the rules stand, you played the game, the result stays. Tough luck, stop crying about it.
