A big day of sport starting with Australia spanking India in the Cricket World Cup, I thought the Indians would put up a real fight with their batting lineup but the Aussie juggernaut rolls on.
Then came the main course Manchester United v Arsenal at Old Trafford in the F.A. Cup and the Gunners just controlled the whole game. Even when Arsenal went 2-0 up I was waiting for Fergie’s boys to spark but it never happened, Vieira and Sol Campbell were totally dominating. Ryan Giggs was the biggest talent of his generation but how he the hell he missed scoring that chance today you’ll never know, your 85 year old grannie with dodgy hips would have slotted that goal.
Desert was England v France in the Six Nations Rugby at Twickenham, England were pretty comfortable winners even though the French scored three tries to one. Its a shame this was the first game of the championship, these are the two best teams and England should now go on to win the title. The Rugby World Cup is being held this October/November in Australia and I think England have their best chance to win the whole thing since 1991, they’ve got a strong team throughout and have beaten all the big southern hemisphere teams at home in the last year or so. None of the competing teams will want to play England.
