Getting some exercise

Monday night for me is football night, the one time a week when I get a really good sweat going. I play with a bunch of guys at a sports centre near the town of Ware, about ten minutes from where I live. We play outside, under lights on their five a side pitches although we pick up sides from who ever turns up out of a pool of about twenty players, 5-6,6-6 etc.

Tonight was the first time I’ve done any strenuous exercise since Nick came to London on December 12, and I was definitely feeling it. With lots of drinking over the Christmas period I’ve got a little beer belly to work on. It was not as cold as the last couple of evenings so even though I had shorts and a t-shirt after ten minutes was perspiring pretty good.

We ended up with five a side tonight and everybody was sucking wind, I scored three or four goals and lost track of the final score, its pretty competitive but I just enjoy getting out there and playing.

Well done Sean for making it to Bali safely, I think you guys will have a great impact out there, at least on the beer industry.

mate - I can run circles around you while dribbling a soccer ball. As for beer - it’s a good way to stay cool.

Could you post on LB.com (that’s londonblog.com) about that heated discussion you had with your brother about Media in Britain vs. elswhere etc. Would love to hear more.
