London football weekend

Another busy weekend of football ahead in London starting on Saturday afternoon at Craven Cottage on the banks of the Thames in west London when Fulham host Tottenham in a London derby. Four points separate them in the Premiership, Fulham will be buoyed by new loan signing Vincenzo Montella from Roma and news that American Brian McBride will stay for another year.

In the Championship Crystal Palace play Hull at Selhurst Park. Palace are mid table and really need the win to push on for a playoff place, new signing Paul Ifill should make his home debut.
Struggling Queens Park Rangers play top five team Southampton at Loftus Road needing to get three points to move away from the relegation places.

In League One Leyton Orient are home to Blackpool and Millwall to Rotherham. Along with Brentford all three London teams are having a hard time in this division, a win on Saturday will help them all.

All this is just the warm up for the biggest game of the weekend and one of the most important of the season, Arsenal v Manchester United at the Emirates. Man.Utd have been flying in the Premiership and are fifteen points clear of Arsenal, but the Gunners beat them at Old Trafford this season and played them off the park, so hopefully Arsenal are hitting top form again and can repeat that success. Chelsea play away at Liverpool on Saturday and depending on which way that goes the Arsenal/United game could mean even more. If you haven’t got a ticket get to a tv, those games are always good.
