Spain v England

England’s game against Spain in Madrid last night has been over shadowed Spanish fans making monkey noises and booing whenever a black England player touched the ball.

The press have gone to town on it and called for all sorts of sanctions against Spanish teams and stadiums and taken a holier than thou attitude, but I can remember going to games back in the 80’s when fans here would do the same and worse, I’ve seen bananas thrown at black players at Arsenal games.

Thankfully people have grown up a bit and are more excepting of other races on and off the pitch.
Spain is probably behind the UK in having large scale immigration and the process of exceptance but having British politicians and media lecture them on how to behave will probably just get their backs up.
