After the break for two of the most dismal England games in memory, the Premiership and the rest of football get back to normal. There are five Premiership games in London this weekend, on Saturday Charlton play Wigan, Fulham play Portsmouth, bottom of the Premiership Watford have a London derby with champions Chelsea, struggling West Ham are at home to Middlesbrough and on Sunday Tottenham are at home to Reading.
On Saturday there are also two games in the Championship in London, Crystal Palace v Sheffield Wednesday and Queens Park Rangers, who are desparate for points, are at home to West Brom, also Millwall are home to Swansea in League One and Barnet host Darlington in League Two.
In rugby union on Saturday London Wasps have a Heineken Cup game against powerful Irish provincial side Leinster, and on Sunday Saracens play Glasgow in the European Challenge Cup at Watford’s Vicarge Road stadium.
The British Touring Car Championship takes place this weekend at Brands Hatch on the southeast edge of London, the place to go for high speed action. If you feel like a bet there are two horseracing meetings in London or close by, Kempton Park in West London where the first race starts at 2.25pm and Ascot a short train ride from central London where they’re having a Spring Festival Family Day with an Easter egg hunt for the kids.
