The British media must be down on their knees every night, thanking God for creating David Beckham. Otherwise what else would they report on?
If you get your news over here, you’d think the universe revolved around this guy. Today is Beckham overload. Beckham pleads with England fans not to start a riot at tomorrow’s game with Serbia, even though he’s not playing and is in LA presenting an award at the MTV Movie Awards, while the would be kidnappers are let go.
Oh and back to football, he’s either going to Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan or going nowhere, depending on your choice of news outlet.
Newspapers, radio, tv, he’s all over them, every day. Enough please, he’s just an above average footballer.

I am surprised they are considering letting him go (if in fact they are) even though he is a mediocre player - he draws people and interest. Business wise, getting him must me a good deal…he is kinda like having Michael Jordan on you side, no? ie he may be old and average, but he draws crowds and ratings.
A radio station here had a US media analyst on asking what impact Beckham was having over there, and the guy in LA said he’s got a career in movies only if they bring back silent films.
He’s in this Pepsi commercial at the moment,in a spaghetti western scene. He walks into a saloon, dressed like Clint Eastwood, goes to the bar and says in a squeaky voice ‘Pepsi’. Very funny.

I hope he goes to Spurs.
