If you missed it last night the future’s bright, bright red. Arsenal were away to Liverpool in the quarterfinal of the Carling Cup and kicked off the game with six teenagers in the starting lineup, the average age of the outfield players was 20. They then went on to hand Liverpool their biggest defeat at Anfield, 6-3, since 1930, with Brazilian Julio ‘The Beast’ Baptista scoring four and missing a penalty as well. That win sets up a semifinal with arch London rival Tottenham.
Here are the highlights, all hail Arsene Wenger.
