Underdogs come through

Well done Greece. 100-1 outsiders at the start of Euro 2004, they beat Portugal(twice), France,Czech Rep on their way to the championship.
Not that pretty to watch but so hard to break down and you have to say that they put everything into their games and diserved to win in the end.

I was in the Enfield area yesterday, one of the parts of London with a big Greek/Greek Cypriot population, and the Greek flags were flying from houses and cars and being carried round the streets in the hours leading up to the game.

I wasn’t there afterwards but can imagine the fans made a big racket after the final whistle.
Every gent’s hairdresser in north London will have a grin from ear to ear today.
