Brillant team performance from Arsenal tonight winning 3-1 away at Bolton in the FA Cup. They were without the likes Henry, Fabregas, Eboue and Gallas but the first half one touch passing had the commentators and halftime panel drooling and Arsenal missed a bunch of chances to sow the game up.
The second half was a bit more even but still the Gunners should have put the game out of sight, the chances they missed where unbelieveable. Both Gilberto Silva and Julio Baptista blasted penalty kicks way over the bar and Emmanuel Adebayor went on a great run, rounded the goalkeeper and just had to roll it into an empty net from six yards, he hit the post. It almost felt fated that Bolton would pinch this game. Arsenal so dominate, create literally dozens of scoring oppurtunities and miss one after the other, you felt I’ve seen this before, the other team will snatch the win.
Fortunately for Gunners fans Freddie Ljungberg came off the bench to score an excellent goal and Adebayor killed it off in the last minute. The boys need to practice their shooting though.
