Four More Years!

Joe E. sent me, among others, an email apologising for the Bush election victory.
Don’t worry Joe, it’s only four years until Jeb gets the job.

I actually enjoyed Bush getting in again if only to see the so called impartial broadcast media over here, the BBC, Channel 4 News(unbeliveable), Radio 5 Live etc, show their true colours when they first thought Kerry would win and then it started to dawn that Bush had it.
Presenters on these channels looked and sounded absolutely gutted.

It was also funny to hear that the only person in Tony Blair’s cabinet who was happy about the result was Blair himself, the rest can’t stand Bush but have to pretend to go along with things because Tony wants to be friend #1.

Here’s a Guardian article that sums up how the poor liberals in the UK are feeling.

While I was no happy that Bush won I try to look on the right side. For more year of the same will probably mean plenty more deaths in Iraq, civil war, countries aliented etc. and the US economy in tatters after having to pay the ENORMOUS cost of Iraq.

Its almost better that Bush himself inherit the whole mess rather than pass it on.

That’s another way of looking at it, Nick. Unfortunately, Bush doesn’t inherit the mess. The citizens do.
