Just keep the Dom Perignon chilled

Nice moment in today’s Monaco Grand Prix that illustrates why Formula One is still probably the most glamourous sport in the world.

On lap 50 McLaren driver Kimi Raikkonen’s car caught fire and he had to pull out of the race.

On the Monte Carlo street circuit the only way back to the pits from where he stopped was a twenty-five minute walk. Raikkonen set off and the tv camera’s followed him but about ten minutes later there he is on the deck of his yacht moored in the harbour, out of his racing suit and ready to get into the champagne with his mates.

Screw going back to the team in the pit lane, I’m out of the race and the party’s starting.
