map1.jpgHere’s a redesigned website that you might find useful if you want to plan a journey in London and can’t be bothered with thumbing through your A-Z street map book. PublicRoutes.com allows you to enter a starting and finishing address or point of interest and then provides a map with a highlighted route along with detailed written directions giving distances, estimated travel time and street by street steps to your destination.

The site also offers links and directions to shops, attractions and places to eat along your chosen route which are are map marked, as well as a weather pop-up. A handy website for people who are keen to set out their travel schedule around London a bit more precisely than just setting off map in hand. London is currently PublicRoute’s only international city, they cover around 30 in the US.
