Just got off the plane this morning from a couple of weeks with my brother Nick in Bali and what a contrast. London this morning was at its most depressing, dark, wet and cold, lights needing to be at 9.30am its that gloomy.
Here’s some photos I couldn’t download onto Nick’s laptop while I was in Bali

If Bali’s best guide loves N.Y., he has to be the very best.
Great shots. I especially liked the one of Catur.
Sounds like you had a good time, Chris. When do you plan on returning?
Hopefully I can get out there again next summer or sooner.
Make it sooner. Yes.
The holiday’s over. I got back to my place just after 9 o’clock last night after a great visit to Bali and Malaysia and had to drag myself out of bed at six this morning to go to work, that hurt.
This evening the jetlag is kicking in so just a few reflections on my last two weeks
1. I must do more travelling. This was my first trip anywhere in about eighteen months and just staying in the job routine all that time really shuts down your perspective on life.
My brother Nick said I need to do a round the world trip, and flying back to Britain I was thinking he’s probably right.
2. If you haven’t yet been to Bali, try and go. Its a great island with warm and friendly people, there’s fantastic food to be had and a ton of things to see and do and it won’t cost the earth.
Don’t let one bomb stop you visiting a special place.
3. If you’re going to visit the Pangkor, Lumut, Sitiawan area of Malaysia be prepared for some seriously hungry mozzies, I got absolutely eaten alive, my ankles and arms still have the bites on them.
4. When you get the chance to dress in someone else’s traditional outfits for a wedding, try it, its fun. I did for my flatmates Indian Hindu wedding and looked the part going into the temple, but did feel a bit odd for a minute when I noticed most of the locals sitting around me were wearing shirts and trousers.
5. Learned the definition of a vegetable(Australian) ‘eats, roots and leaves’.
The Bootboyz may have seen this species in Bali.
6. Terima Kasih Bali and Malaysia for a great time.

Seems likes just now we were in the Cat & Fiddle enjoying cold Guinness and pleasant company.
You’ll be out here again before you know it.
