Good news for any one who’s flown with British Airways or Virgin Atlantic in the last few years, you could be getting a little of your money back. Both airlines have just settled a class action case in the US where they admitted price fixing on fuel surcharges on transatlantic flights.
The settlement to the case means that around 11 million passengers could be eligible for up to £20 refund. The case effects any passengers of these two airlines on long haul transatlantic flights between 11 August 2004-23 March 2006, bought either in the UK or US. British Airways had to pay almost £300million in fines last year after being found guilty of price fixing.
