Heathrow a little behind schedule

heathrow.jpgAh, Heathrow Airport you have to love it. Crowded, chaotic, baggage being lost left, right and centre, climate change protesters camped out of the perimeter and planning to disrupt operations this weekend and a story in the Evening Standard today that every flight leaving this past Wednesday morning went out late. Amazingly British Airways own figures show that only 29% of its flights leave on time.

BAA (British Airports Authority) blamed everthing from high winds to late passengers and overcrowding in the terminals. Whatever the causes its still incredible that a world city such as London has such a poor major airport to handle visitors. Hopefully Terminal 5 opening next year improves things a bit and BAA gets the wrecking ball swinging in Terminals 1 & 2 pretty quick.
