Recently at the Chelsea v Arsenal Premiership game, the Arsenal fans were taunting former player Ashley Cole with chants of ‘you’re shit and your wife’s a slag’. Maybe it should have been ‘you’re shit and your wife is thick’ after her interview with the New Statesman magazine.
The wife in question is Cheryl Tweedy, a singer with reality tv show girl band, Girls Aloud. Tweedy is a class A piece of eye candy and this best looking of Girls Aloud’s five members. She was interviewed by the New Statesman, a weekly political magazine, because the newish Conservative Party leader David Cameron named Tweedy when asked in an interview who he liked best in Girls Aloud.
Cameron is the 39 year old, Old Etonian politician who’s trying to be all things to all people. Labour have won the last three elections and most voters are fed up with them and the Conservatives should be cleaning up, unfortunately David Cameron comes across as a slick snake oil salesmen and people just aren’t going to trust him being Prime Minister.
In her interview Tweedy says Cameron’s trying to be ‘cool’ and connect with the fans by liking Girls Aloud. Seeing as most of their fans are between about 8-12 years old it wouldn’t do him much good. She says instead politicians should put up ‘bullet points’ of what they stand for in commercial breaks during Coronation Street(garbage nightly soap opera that’s been running for 40 years).
She explain’s the political situation in Britain as ‘you know that basically Labour is the working class and the Conservatives are the really kind of upper class, and then everything else is… I have no idea’, going on to add ‘I only vote Labour because me mam does.’ Let’s hope Cheryl’s Mam has more of a clue why she votes Labour than just because her ‘Mam’ did.
