Alexander Shulgin, the scientist who invented Ecstacy in 1976, has been talking about how its abuse in the dance and rave music culture is stopping it being used in medicine.
Reading about him he just fits the bill of what you’d expect a developer of psychedelic drugs to be, a grey bearded, 80 year old former UC Berkeley teacher who once had a US government licence to produce any illegal drug, and tried most of them himself.
Bet there’s a lot of stoners out there that would love that gig.
