Me and my big mouth

Coming through a British airport you could probably shout out anything, from death to the Royal Family to where did we put the drugs and the people in charge would likely say ‘very funny, move on’.
But not in the US.

The tv news said this British girl could face 15 years for having a laugh with immigration.
Guess its safer to stick to yes sir, no sir.

As much as I agree that the Miami aircraft screeners have a broomstick up their butts, the ones at LHR are not that much more pleasant than the ones at Miami. Just sayin’.

Back in ‘1994 arriving at Heathrow I was asked by the British immigration official who was of Asian decent where I came from. Producing my British passport he told me the photo wasn’t me. I then produced 2 more pieces of photo ID which he didn’t like either.

I had to wait for 30 minutes while Special Branch did a background check on me.

Welcome home Nick.
