Mind numbing

I guess this is an example of what makes the internet great and bizarre at the same time.
People play online games, some lasting for months at a time, and take ages to get from one level to another. So they pay players working for companies in poorer countries to play the game for them and take over when the character they want gets to a higher level.

There are a couple of guys where I work with who play these type of games and the amount of time they say they spend on them just seems ridiculous. They’ve also said, similar to this story, that they know people who’ve played a game for six months solid and then sold their position in the game on ebay.

Must be getting old because I can’t see the point.
