More EU horsetrading

Tony Blair, over in Brussels negotiating away Britain’s sovereignty on everything (this guy spends less time in the UK than a tax exile), again says no referendum is needed on this European Constitution.

Tony you’re gung-ho to bring democracy and the vote to Iraq, what about the folks back home. Why can’t we have a say on something that’s going to impact the lives of generations to come, don’t you think the public trusts you.

I think having grown up in Britain that al ot of people have this socialist attitude about the role of the government, we’ve all heard people go on about about ‘the governemnt needs to create good jobs for people’. Its like putting the horse before the cart.

The Labour party’s history is decorated with individuals like Harold Wilson, Jim Callahan, Ken Livingstone and Derek Hatton. They had an almost detached view of reality in regard to what the government should be supporting.

Why give the general public a vote if they have been lulled into the belief that they aren’t responsible for their own futures?
