The big day

Had a great time last night at Anil and Priya’s wedding. Everything went off without a hitch starting with the civil ceremony at the Hindu Mandir(temple) in Greenwich. Only about thirty or forty people were there for this quick ceremony before moving to the International Hotel in Docklands for the reception dinner and party for just under two hundred.

Priya looked beautiful in a stunning sari and Anil was the dashing groom in his morning dress style suit. They really did look the perfect couple.
The guests were mainly from Anil’s side, expect a huge turn out from Priya’s family later in the year at wedding part 2 in Malaysia.

The Indian food was fantastic, the DJ’s did a good job mixing bangra tunes with some cheesy disco and pop party songs and everybody enjoyed the night.
Priya’s Uncle View image“>Michael from Germany stood in for her dad and made a nice speech which was brave of him to do in another language.

I messed up by wiping a load of pictures I took from the new camera I got Friday night, so only have a few from the actual wedding left. Trial and error I guess.

Glad things went well, they are both nice people. I’d love to get into that Indian food and expect Malaysia to be great.
