The world’s judge and jury

There are a few things I can’t understand about Afghan warlord Faryadi Zardad, who’s described as ‘the nastiest of the very nastiest’, and who was given 20 years in a British jail yesterday.

He was charged with torture and hostage taking on the route into Kabul from Pakistan, but the other stuff you read about him that he wasn’t charged with includes hundreds of murders and multiple rapes and lots of sadistic torture.
So first off, how is this character allowed to live on benefits in a south London suburb for seven years. Just an indication of the shambles the immigration control of this country is in, if Pol Pot were alive and turned up at Heathrow tomorrow they’d let him in to claim asylum.

Second, the crimes were committed in Afghanistan against Afghans. They’ve now got an elected government, Tony Blair was gladhanding with Hamad Karzai in London yesterday, so why not send this scumbag back with the Afghan President and let them decide the punishment. If that means stringing him up by his bollocks and cutting his tongue out so be it, he deserves it.

You can gurantee two things, he won’t serve the full twenty years and even though the judge recommends deportation Zardad will find a lawyer who’ll appeal for him and he’ll win the appeal. Faryadi Zardad, coming to a neighbourhood near you.
