Reading about the story of Robert Hendy-Freegard, who was jailed today, he is either the most persuasive man in Britain or the people he conned are the most gullible.
If somebody approached you and said they were an MI5 agent and you, an ordinary member of the public, were an IRA target, would you believe him and let him string you along for years, handing over money and carrying out a bunch of bizarre instructions?
I heard one guy today telling how Hendy-Freegard got him to believe that a friend who had committed suicide had faked it and a roommate was an undercover IRA man. The guy said it was all made to sound believeable.
Only if you wanted to believe it is all I can say.

You haven’t got the slightest clue what you’re talking about. That’s the problem. Tens of millions of people in the US, for example, were conned by Bush and his neocons and their media friends into believing that Saddam Hussain had WMD and that he was responsible for 9/11, and many of them still do . Freegard wasn’t some stranger that walked up to these people in the street! Get real willya! People like you make me sick with all your superior egoistic claptrap. You are incapable of empathy and just epitomise the ‘HE/she wouldn’t have fooled me’ brigade of idiots who of course are always looking at these things from the ‘outside’ and are incapable of imagining how it must have been for those on the ‘inside’. Maybe you’ll grow up one day, but I have my doubts!
