You know the legal system’s gone mad when serial spitter at fans El Hadji Diouf, who’s makes the thick end of �2million a year, gets legal aid to defend himself against another spitting charge. Crazy.

Anybody watch today’s fantastic State of Origin game between Queensland and New South Wales? Saw the rerun this evening and what a game, the Reds up 19-0, the Blues come back to 19-20, Queensland squeeze a drop goal to force extra time and pick off a pass for a match winning try.
Brillant, can’t for the next one.

Who pays?

A Times poll on Londoners views on a variety of topics, shows only 13% are ready to put up with a ten year increase on council tax to pay for the Olympics in 2012, if London gets it.
Damn right, the London organizing commitee says it will cost �2billion to stage the games, building stadia etc, but we all know that eight years down the line the bill could come in double or treble that easily.

Be honest with the cost of these things and don’t just say ‘wouldn’t it be lovely to have the Olympics here’ if you want to get any public support.
