Why did I do that?

Named and shamed, the Chicago Cubs fan who may have just cost his team their first appearance in the World Series since 1945 and turned himself into public enemy number one.

He could have done what he did in any other game and it wouldn’t get much of a mention, but if the Cubs lose tonight he might want to think about relocating to New York or Moscow or somewhere further away.

It’s certainly going to come back to haunt him now. A tough series loss for the Cubs and that incident looms huge.

How can one fan be responsible for the Cubs loss? The Cubs lost on their own, through inferior playing compared to their opponents. Their fan was exuberant, didn’t think and for this, he is blamed for his team’s no-show at the World Series. Put the onus where it belongs - on the bodies and minds of professionals who earn megabucks and have to put up with a bit of dejection.

Notre Dame alum? Excellent. I hope he shows up at the game vs. SC this weekend!

Watching the replays, there’s a guy in a grey sweatshirt, next to Bartman, who must be thanking Jesus, Joseph and Mary his hand didn’t reach the ball.
He was going for it.

Leo, nice one with the ‘below the belt’ jab.

Chris, come on, the ND vs. USC game was a beating waiting to happen.
