Wrong move

Clive Woodward, who got a knighthood for leading England to a rugby World Cup win over Australia last year, has been a hot topic in the press here today over reports he wants to switch to being a football coach either with England or a Premiership team.

Sir Clive did a fantastic job with the rugby team because he had a group of disciplined players who wanted to improve and had complete respect for their coaches, absolute cooperation from the club sides and importantly lots of time to get it right.
If he became England football coach he’d get none of this, plus a load of cynicism from a bunch of over paid footballers who’d have no interest in his past achievements.

I watched the rugby world cup final here in Bali from an Australian TV broadcast. The announcer was laughing (in admiration ) as he read the names of the English team, almost like it was a ‘Dream Team’.

Clive Woodward was a good coach who got really lucky when that team came together at that time.

Don’t believe your own press Clive.
