'You cannot be serious'

We're into the two weeks of the year when people here are interested in tennis, the Wimbledon Championships.

Britain’s great Canadian hope, Greg Rusedski, went out to 20 year old American Andy Roddick this evening and showed he hasn’t got the temperament to win a big tournament.

Two sets down but 5-2 up in the third, he was well in the match. Then a fan called a ball out during a rally, the umpire gave the point to Roddick and Rusedski just lost it.

‘A fucking fan calls it out and you let it go?’ to the umpire and everybody can hear this, and he carries on bitching trying to out do McEnroe.

Roddick reels off the next five games and wins the match. You can have the big serve and the ground strokes but if you can’t keep your head together forget it.

Roddick looks like he’s got the game and the mind set to go all the way.
