You’re not what we’re looking for

An art centre in Bristol that advertised a curator’s position for anyone who wasn’t white, has finally be told that the ad was unlawful by the Commission for Racial Equality after they first said it was ok.

The CRE has always been more about political correctness than equality to me and most of the politicans in this country wouldn’t say boo to it for fear of somebody throwing the word ‘racist’ at them.

The situation is simple, you’re either against discrimination or you’re not, there’s no room for any of this affirmative action/positive discrimination garbage.
If you think there is its not the discrimination you’re against, just being on the wrong end of it.

Ditto, Chris. I’ll just add, though, that the grey area is where most politicians are (and others). Appearance and reality on a collision course, or riding side by side.
