Have a good one

Happy New Year seems like the wrong kind of greeting after a week of watching the tsunami disaster unfold, especially when new video and photos such as these come up.

Anyone who’s sat on a beach in southeast Asia knows how it could have been them if the timing was different.
Just hope the local people get all the aid that’s been promised to them in 2005 and not too much disappear’s into the wrong pockets.

The best to you also, Chris. Hope the wrong pockets remain empty. Good point.

I gave $100 HK to UNICEF on the plane back to Bali. Not much but if everyone on every flight gave that they’d have a ton of money.

There are money changers here in Kuta with collection jars on the counter for the ‘Aceh victims’. I wonder how much of the money collected will end up in Aceh.
