Waiting for summer

wimbledon2.jpgQuite a few of London’s major sporting venues are in use this weekend and not just for sports events. Tennis continues at Wimbledon, Lord’s hosts a One Day International cricket match between England and the West Indies on Sunday, Rod Stewart plays the 82,000 seat Twickenham rugby stadium on Saturday and on Sunday the new Wembley Stadium holds the Concert for Diana with the likes of Elton John, Bryan Ferry, Kanye West, Joss Stone, Pharrell Williams and P Diddy playing.

The one thing they all have in common is hoping they get good weather and London and the UK as a whole has had a wet June, and this weekend the mixture of sunshine and rain looks set to continue with Saturday especially predicted to be a washout with little play possible at Wimbledon. Here’s the five day forecast for London, lots of black cloud.
