The Dorchester in London is one of the most luxurious places to stay in the world. This Mayfair hotel embodies the best in traditional quality, with spacious rooms, charming suites, an indulgent spa, and fantastic dining and entertainment.

The hotel established its fine reputation shortly after its opening in 1931, leading the way in London accommodation. The combination of elegance, sumptuous décor and an unrivalled standard of personal service made it a constant venue for the influential, famous—and infamous. British and foreign royalty, political leaders, actors, artists, and others became regular guests. The Dorchester has become celebrated for its quality cuisine, outstanding design and décor, exceptional soundproofing, and the exquisite personal service supplied by its staff.

The Dorchester’s rooms are perfect for single/double/family occupancy with their queen-sized beds and all the current amenities. They offer exceptional grace and comfort with views of Hyde Park or the hotel’s own landscaped terraces. Several sizes of suites are available. All bathrooms are spacious, offering exceptional function and style, made predominantly of Italian marble in classic 1930s art deco style. While remaining luxurious, fresh and modern, the Roof Suites are reminiscent of the original Hollywood glamour associated with The Dorchester. These provide unrivalled views of London and have dedicated butlers on hand providing personalised service.

The Bar at The Dorchester has long been a place to see and be seen in London. It is renowned for its opulent, rich interior as much as for its menu of cocktails. Brown, black and aubergine, mirrored glass, velvet, and red glass spears create a dramatic night time atmosphere. In celebration of The Dorchester’s 80th Anniversary The Bar reintroduced “Dorchester of London,” an original 1930s cocktail. Proceeds support the planting of 80 trees across London also part of the anniversary celebration.

The Dorchester is home to a variety of award winning restaurants and bars. Incomparable afternoon teas may be enjoyed at The Promenade. It boasts a series of warm, rich, intimate spaces ending at an oval leather bar. Serving excellent British fare throughout the day and evening, The Promenade also features live piano music from 1:15-7:00 pm and a Jazz Duo from 7:30 pm until late at night.

China Tang at The Dorchester serves some of the most authentic Cantonese food found outside of China. Their signature Peking Duck and other dishes are prepared with traditional spices and flavourings along with the freshest ingredients available. Rave reviews of the cuisine are matched by the ones given the sumptuous interior evoking Thirties’ romance with Chinoiserie and objets d’art. China Tang’s bar offers classic cocktails throughout the day, served with or without a meal from the dim sum menu. Three dining rooms may be booked for private use. Beginning at 8:15 pm every Tuesday, China Tang features live jazz.

The Dorchester continues to maintain the tradition of excellent service for which it became famous, while introducing new standards and the latest technologies desired by modern guests. Their friendly, highly professional staff—combined with the newest in business support and entertainment systems—guarantees guests with an experience they won’t soon forget.

I have known the Dorchester Hotel since my late teens. It is a magnificent work of Art if I may say and when it comes down to the best quality Hotels in the UK, I’d say the Dorchester will give you a run for your money no doubt about it. I actually built my High-class Escort Introduction service Bond & Mayfair Int. to cater to this specific hotel and a few others located around the Park Lane, Bond Street and Mayfair area’s over 14 years ago. We are kind of like sworn enemies because of rules, regulations and policy of the hotel itself but both of us know we generate a lot of business for each other at the same time. Inside the Dorchester is a totally blissful adventure waiting to be unwrapped, great relaxed atmosphere with a tantalising Bar at the far end of the lobby. A steady seating area with staff waiting eagerly for ladies and gentlemen that desire only the best. Upstairs you have the rooms from Executive and far beyond. The last time I was there it was during the winter season. I now reside a little outside of the Central Zones but will once again have another Martini at this famous joint. 10/10 well recommended.
