london-party-hostelsLondon is the party capital of the United Kingdom and has few rivals throughout Europe. Places like Madrid or Berlin try to compete with London when it comes to the partying and clubbing scene but they are not in the same league if you are looking for party hostels in Europe .

Let’s have a party…but where?

But why are party hostels so sought after? Let’s see. You are young, want to party and don’t have the money to go to posh clubs. What’s the best alternative? The party hostels of course! Look at it this way: if you drink more than you can handle at least you don’t need to stumble on the streets to get back to the hostel.

Party hostels in London are really easy to find as many of the big hotels are also wild places to party. You can choose between St. Christopher’s Village – which promotes itself as a party hostel -, St. Christopher’s Greenwich – just as wild and why not a place to stay if you want to sleep - or Bestplace Paddington – smaller yet very lively. Whatever you choose make sure to do your research ahead of time and book your bed early enough to make sure you have a place to stay once you get to London.

If your budget allows for some splurges, you should check at least one of the popular London clubs. Some of them offer free entry for ladies, while others host special parties. In many cases, at least a drink is included in the ticket. You will also have the surprise to find places, such as Liquid Nation in Notting Hill, which charges only £2.50 for any drink. If you are after a sophisticated atmosphere where you can sip a cocktail while listening (and dancing) to live music then The Avenue is a good choice, although the price tag is higher (£11 for a bottle of wine).

Getting to London

Tickets to Europe are very easy to find no matter when you plan to travel. London is one of the major getaways to the Old Continent so there’s always some kind of a deal available.

In general though, finding a cheap flight to anywhere can be a bit tricky. Ideally you should first look for a flight and then book the hostel. Make sure to have several options so that you can take a decision based on the best rates. If possible, fly mid-week when the prices are, usually, at their lowest. Book the ticket in advance but make sure to stick to 2-8 weeks before departure if you want to find the best airfare. Also, remember that the popular European low-cost carriers don’t fly over the ocean so you are left with choosing among the regular carriers.
